Description

Delicious and easy-to-make butter bars, perfect for any occasion!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened (Make sure the butter is at room temperature.)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • to taste Frosting (Feel free to use a simple buttercream or your favorite topping.)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, cream the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then beat until fully combined.
  5. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture using a spatula or wooden spoon until just combined.
  6. Grease a 9×13 inch baking pan and spread the dough evenly in the pan.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the edges start to turn golden brown.
  8. Once baked, remove from the oven and let the bars cool completely in the pan before adding frosting or toppings.
