- 1 cup barbecue sauce
- 1/2 cup ketchup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 4 hamburger buns
Instructions
- Brown the Beef: In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium-high heat until browned. Break it apart with a spoon. Drain any excess fat.
- Cook the Vegetables: Add the chopped onion and diced bell pepper to the beef. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the vegetables are soft.
- Add Sauces and Spices: Stir in the barbecue sauce, ketchup, and water. Add Worcestershire sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, chili powder, salt, and pepper.
- Simmer: Reduce the heat to low and let the mixture simmer for 10-15 minutes. Stir occasionally until the sauce thickens.
- Prepare the Buns: Toast the hamburger buns lightly if desired.
- Assemble the Sandwich: Spoon the meat mixture onto the bottom half of each bun. Top with the other half of the bun.
