Description
A delicious bread stuffing made with cubed bread, vegetables, and seasonings.

- 10 cups cubed bread (day-old or lightly toasted)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 large onion, diced
- 3–4 celery stalks, diced
- 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 1/2 cups chicken broth (more as needed)
- 2 large eggs, beaten
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp black pepper
- 1 1/2 tsp dried sage
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried parsley
Instructions
- Prep the bread: Spread bread cubes on a baking sheet and toast at 300°F (150°C) until dry (about 20 minutes).
- Cook the vegetables: In a large skillet, melt butter. Add onion, celery, and garlic. Cook until soft, 8–10 minutes.
- Season: Stir in sage, thyme, parsley, salt, and pepper.
- Combine: In a large bowl, mix bread cubes with the cooked vegetables.
- Moisten: Pour chicken broth over the mixture and toss until evenly absorbed.
- Bind: Stir in beaten eggs.
- Bake: Transfer to a greased baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–45 minutes, until golden and set.
Notes
- This stuffing can be made a day in advance and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- Feel free to adjust the herbs and seasonings according to your taste.
