Description

These delicious cookies are made with honey roasted peanuts and cocoa powder for a rich flavor.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup Crisco Shortening
  • 1/2 cup Salted Butter, room temperature
  • 2 cups Granulated Sugar
  • 2 large Eggs, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 cup Cocoa Powder
  • 1 3/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Honey Roasted Peanuts, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, Crisco, sugar and vanilla using a wooden spoon until light and fluffy; then add the beaten eggs.
  3. Next, sift the flour, cocoa powder and baking soda together in a separate bowl; then add to the butter mixture.
  4. Add the chopped honey roasted peanuts and mix well.
  5. Line baking sheets with parchment paper and using a small cookie scoop put dollops on the cookie sheet; then make criss cross marks using a fork.
  6. Bake for 6-8 minutes; as you want them to be a little chewy.

Notes

  • For a softer cookie, bake for the shorter time.
  • Always use room temperature butter for best results.
