Description

Delicious chicken souvlaki marinated in a zesty blend of olive oil and lemon, served with warm pita bread.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds Chicken breast (cut into cubes)
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • 1/4 cup Lemon juice
  • 3 cloves Garlic (minced)
  • 2 teaspoons Dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 8 Pita breads (warmed on the grill)
  • Skewers (Metal or soaked wood)

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a bowl to create the marinade.
  2. Add cubed chicken pieces to the marinade and mix thoroughly. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat.
  4. Thread marinated chicken onto skewers.
  5. In the pressure cooker, add chicken with marinade liquid. Lock lid and cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
  6. After cooking, manually release pressure. Finish skewers on the grill for 10-15 minutes, turning often.
  7. Warm pita bread on the grill and serve with chicken souvlaki.

Notes

  • For best flavor, marinate the chicken overnight.
  • Serve with tzatziki sauce for an extra touch.
