- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 3-4 minutes.
- Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt until evenly combined.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix the dough.
- Fold in the dried cranberries and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
- Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to turn golden brown, and the centers appear set but still chewy.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
