Description

Deliciously chewy cookies loaded with cranberries and walnuts, perfect for the holiday season!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • 1 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy using an electric mixer on medium speed for about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time to the butter mixture, beating well after each addition. Then mix in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt until evenly combined.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing just until combined. Be careful not to overmix the dough.
  6. Fold in the dried cranberries and chopped walnuts until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Using a cookie scoop or a tablespoon, drop heaping tablespoons of dough onto the prepared baking sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until the edges begin to turn golden brown, and the centers appear set but still chewy.
  9. Remove the cookies from the oven and let them cool on the baking sheets for about 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
