Description

Enjoy these flavorful, cheesy cheeseburger sliders perfect for any gathering!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs lean ground beef (85% lean)
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ white onion, diced
  • 12 slider-sized Hawaiian rolls (1 package)
  • 12 (¾ oz.) cheese snack bars, any flavor (I used Borden)
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted (½ stick)
  • ½ tsp kosher salt
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • 3 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • ½ tbsp sesame seeds, plus more for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the beef and sliders.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the lean ground beef, garlic powder, kosher salt, and ground black pepper, mixing gently to distribute the spices evenly without overworking the meat.
  3. Press the seasoned beef mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish, spreading it into a flat, even layer. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After baking, carefully drain off any liquid and set the beef aside.
  4. Slice the Hawaiian rolls in half lengthwise. Lay the bottom halves in a lined baking pan, creating a base for the sliders. Spread the cooked ground beef evenly over the bottom halves of the rolls.
  5. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the diced white onion and stir to coat with oil. Cook until the onions become translucent and fragrant, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Spread the sautéed onions evenly over the cooked beef layer. Then, top with the cheese snack bars, placing one on each slider portion.
  7. Cover the sliders with the top halves of the Hawaiian rolls.
  8. In a small bowl, whisk together the melted unsalted butter, kosher salt, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, and sesame seeds to create a flavorful glaze.
  9. Brush the butter glaze generously over the tops of the slider buns. Sprinkle additional sesame seeds on top for garnish if desired.
  10. Place the assembled sliders in the oven and bake for an additional 20 minutes, or until the rolls are toasted and the cheese has melted perfectly.
  11. Remove from the oven, slice into individual sliders, and serve hot.
