Description

Delicious baked salmon fillets topped with a creamy, spicy bang bang sauce and garnished with fresh ingredients.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 fillets salmon (about 6 oz each)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional Garnishes: green onions, chopped
  • Optional Garnishes: toasted sesame seeds
  • Optional Garnishes: lime wedges

Instructions

  1. Prep the Oven and Salmon: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with oil. Place the salmon fillets skin-side down on the baking sheet. Drizzle them with olive oil and season evenly with garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. You can use your hands or a brush to gently massage the seasonings into the flesh for more flavor.
  2. Bake the Salmon: Bake the seasoned salmon in the preheated oven for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork and is opaque in the center. Cooking time will vary depending on the thickness of your fillets.
  3. Make the Bang Bang Sauce: While the salmon bakes, prepare the bang bang sauce. In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, sriracha, honey, rice vinegar, and garlic powder until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust heat or sweetness to your liking.
  4. Sauce It Up: Once the salmon is cooked, remove it from the oven and generously spoon the bang bang sauce over each fillet while they’re still warm. The warmth of the salmon helps the sauce melt into every crevice, making it even more irresistible.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Top with chopped green onions and a sprinkle of toasted sesame seeds for crunch. A squeeze of fresh lime juice adds a final pop of brightness. Serve with jasmine rice, noodles, or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.

Notes

  • Cooking time may vary depending on the thickness of the salmon fillets.
  • Adjust the spice level of the bang bang sauce by varying the amount of sriracha.
